Editorial policy

Products are listed based on their specification fit for the problem a guide covers — not on affiliate commission rates, paid placement, or any commercial relationship with a brand or retailer.

We select products based on their listed dimensions, installation type, weight capacity and stated use case. We do not use Amazon customer reviews or star ratings unless supplied through an approved mechanism and used in accordance with the relevant licence.

Products that do not fit the space problem a guide addresses are not included, regardless of how popular or well-reviewed they are elsewhere.

The fit logic on this site is based on listed product dimensions and a practical understanding of the common obstacles in UK homes — under-sink pipework, bed frame clearance, door swing, cabinet hinges and tenant restrictions.

We do not claim hands-on product testing unless a page explicitly states it. Fit ratings from our tools (Likely fit, Warning, Avoid) are based on dimension matching and stated design constraints — not installation experience.

A “likely fit” result means the listed dimensions suggest the product should fit the described space with the 2cm clearance buffer applied. It is not a guarantee. Users should always confirm dimensions on the retailer page before purchasing.

Product dimensions, prices and availability can change without notice. Each product card shows a “last checked” date indicating when we last verified the listing data.

If you find a product with outdated or incorrect dimensions, please contact us. We aim to review flagged listings within five working days.

Guide content is reviewed periodically. The “last updated” date on each guide reflects the most recent editorial review, not the date of product listing changes.
